Hiking trails through the fields and to two lakes (400 m and 1000 m away) start directly at the farm. A lake belongs to the farm and you can fish here immediately without a fishing license.

Directions
Take the E16 road (Olsztyn-Biskupiec/Allenstein-Bischofsburg) to the first exit to Barczewo.
500m further, at the small path chapel, turn right towards “Silice” and after 5 km you will reach the picturesque village of Mokiny(Monichten), nestled in a valley.
In the middle of town, on a hill to the right, surrounded by a large old orchard, is the farm.

eine zumutung
Habe mich gewundert das der Platz beim ADAC angepriesen wurde.Alles in einem sehr schlechten Zustand.Bin schnell weiter gefahren.Bei Anfahrt sehr schlechte Straßen.

Sommerurlaub Masuren
Die rein faktische Bewertung kann dem Gesamteindruck auf dem Hof Wagner nicht gerecht werden. Für uns war es ein stark emotional geprägter Urlaub , ein Ausflug in die familiäre Vergangenheit. Den Hof Wagner kannten wir allerdings zuvor nicht. Die Zugewandtheit der Fam. Wagner ist sicher nicht nur ihren deutschen Ursprüngen zuzuschreiben. Ziemlich bald stellten wir eine Seelenverwandschaft mit der Hausherrin fest, die uns überaus familiär und freundschaftlich betreute. Auch die weiteren Familienmitglieder waren sehr angenehm und hilfsbereit eingestellt. Von unserem Balkonzimmer aus in der 1. Etage konnten wir den Hof total überblicken. Es war immer ein großes Erlebnis, wenn die Störche zum Nest im Blickfeld einflogen, um ihre Jungen zu füttern.
Von der Familie erhielten wir einen Garagenstellplatz ohne Kosten überlassen. Das Früchstück war durchweg gut und liebevoll zubereitet. Die Hausfrau schien fast beleidigt, wenn man keine Sonderwünsche äußerte.
Nach Allenstein war der Weg ca. 20 Minuten mit dem Pkw lang. Die Straßen waren leidlich zu befahren. Die herrliche Landschaft sollte man natürlich auch nur im mäßigen Temp genießen. Wenn nur die weite Anfahrt von Norddeutschland aus nicht wäre, würden wir sicher öfter dort Urlaub verbringen.
Leider erfuhren wir im letzten Herbst, dass die Hausherrin eine schwere Krankheit nicht überlebt hat. Es brach uns fast das Herz. Ob ihre Kinder diesen urostpreußischen Hof weiterhin für Touristen betreiben, ist uns nicht bekannt. Das bedarf weiterer Recherche.
Wenn man Ruhe sucht und der Hektik des normalen Alltags entkommen möchte, findet man auf dem Wagnerhof in Mokainen den richtigen Abstand.

Schöner ruhiger Platz
Ein schöner ruhiger Rasenplatz bei dem Bauernhof. sehr freundliche und entgegenkommende Betreiber,
sehr zu empfehlen als Standpunkt für Ausflüge in Ermland und Masuren.
